Lindsay Mengel is a commercial intellectual property lawyer with extensive experience across design, manufacturing, technology, supply chains and the creative industry.

Lindsay helps his clients adopt a multidisciplinary approach to resolving problems, working with a network of professionals and specialists to offers innovative solutions and practical strategies. His preference is provide proactive legal support to mitigate risks and plan for a fortunate future because “luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.”

When he is not at work, you will catch Lindsay at the markets asking the orange juice stall operator how he is squeezing the value out of his intellectual property or chatting with patrons at coffee shops.

Before joining Merthyr Law, Lindsay worked with one of Australia’s preeminent intellectual property and entertainment lawyers (before his retirement) and worked in an advisory role for both an advanced manufacturing hub and a creative management agency.

Lindsay is a member of the Queensland Law Society Technology & Intellectual Property Law Committee and has qualifications in law, journalism and politics.
