About Christine

As a self-professed bleeding heart, Christine was surprised that she enjoys civil litigation. By actively listening to understand her client’s objectives combined with her penchant for detail and legal research Christine is well armed in her quest for justice and resolution for Merthyr Law’s clients.

Christine’s first career was as a veterinary surgeon, specialising in small animal and exotic veterinary medicine. After graduation from veterinary school she worked with bald eagles in Sitka, Alaska and then as a rural agricultural veterinarian through the Peace Corps in Haiti. She grew up in Germany, was raised and educated in the United States and loves to travel and speak multiple languages. Her passion for human rights comes from travels to east Africa and India; her background in anti-discrimination law from first-hand experience as the mother of two children with high-functioning autism.

In 2017 Christine traded her medical books for law books, graduating with a Bachelor of Laws from QUT in 2021. She still works as a sessional law tutor at QUT and also tutors individual students through the Oodgeroo Unit at QUT.

Evenings and weekends most often finds Christine on the soccer pitch watching her four teenage boys. She also has a daughter currently training in academic dressage and performing as an equestrian with a Medieval Show in Chicago, USA.

Before joining the Merthyr Law team Christine interned with an agency specialising in mental health discrimination and practiced Criminal, Family and General Law and Civil Litigation. She combines her attention to detail with her passion for people working in Estate Planning and Business Structures, and especially enjoys working with families and family-owned businesses.
