Carol finds her proficiency with numbers (unusual for a lawyer!) an asset, particularly when working on estate planning solutions involving complex structures. Carol enjoys travel and lived in Hong Kong and Brazil before settling in Brisbane with her husband to raise her family.
While completing degrees in Law & Commerce at UQ, Carol spent two years working as a Clerk in the District Court before qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (specialising in taxation) while with Deloitte in Sydney.
After spending six years as a paralegal with a suburban firm, Carol was admitted as a solicitor in 2015. Due to her interest in succession law and estate planning, Carol was excited to join Merthyr Law’s estate planning practice in 2016. Carol finds it rewarding to give her clients the peace of mind that comes with knowing they have a well executed estate plan. She also enjoys assisting clients with estate administration to relieve the pressure on them during a time of stress.
Possibly due to her country upbringing, Carol has a love for baking – a skill that she likes to share with her colleagues at Merthyr Law. When she is not working, Carol is usually running around after her children, walking her border collie or planning her next holiday, so she can hone her photography skills.
